Important1) Fixture dates and times cannot be changed once agreed unless it is an exceptional circumstance and otherwise agreed with the BRHA Executive Committee. Fixture planning is a complex task and we will do all we can to accommodate such requests but cannot please everyone 100% of the time. All fixtures are final once published on our website and any subsequent changes must be arranged between the team managers and an email sent to your region's General Secretary upon mutual agreement of both or all applicable teams.2) It is the Club Manager’s responsibility to track accrued player points. Sportily does provide functionality to enable the league to ‘police’ this but does not take responsibility for informing player’s of suspensions. In the event of a player turning up at the rink on game day, the timekeeper and league officials reserve the right to enforce any unspent suspensions without prior notice. Refer to the BRHA rule book for full details of the accrued points system in operation.3) All teams and members must be registered in the appropriate season. The member registration fee includes the cost of sports injury insurance and the team registration fee includes the cost of team liability insurance. All members listed on the team sheet must be registered and insured with the BRHA for the appropriate season. Details of insurance cover can be found at www.brha.co.uk/documents. All friendly games must be notified in writing to the region's General Secretary no later than 72 hours prior to the fixture date for the BRHA’s insurance policy to be valid. Terms and restrictions apply.4) All junior players must wear all necessary equipment as stated in the BRHA and IIHF rule books.5) A team official must supply the timekeeper with their team sheet no later than 30 minutes prior to the planned fixture start time. Changes are not permitted thereafter.6) Most regions of the BRHA are 'cashless' meaning all payments made must be via debit/credit card only. Direct debit is also an option for clubs without a debit/credit card. BACS, Cash and Cheque is no longer accepted and will be returned. This is to help improve the efficiency of league financials and back-end processes. Contact your regional General Secretary if you have questions or need help finding a bank account that provides this facility.7) New player registrations must be processed and fees paid for in full at least 48 hours prior to the fixture date in which the player is due to play (i.e. by 23:59 the Thursday before a Sunday fixture). Player transfers take a minimum of 7 days to process. All registrations are processed in accordance with BRHA and IIHF rules. Please do not automatically assume that your transfer request has been received until you have received written confirmation or spoken to the Registration Secretary. Player registrations are processed in real time and will appear in the player list of the appropriate club on www.brha.co.uk.8) The BRHA will be running a Coaching Foundation course to which all junior teams and seniors teams with registered juniors must attend. The remaining senior teams are encouraged to attend but this is not compulsory. The only exception to is if a registered team manager or coach is EIHA level 1, 2 or 3 qualified and can supply a valid reference number at the time of registration. Full details will be published on our social media channels and website in due course.9) The BRHA National Executive Committee will be enforcing the rule of ‘Abuse of Official’ as, unfortunately, in recent years it has gotten out of hand whereby players are forcefully disputing the referee’s and/or timekeeper’s decision on a regular basis and during game play, thus disrupting the flow of the game and causing animosity amongst all those involved. This obviously makes for an unpleasant experience and action is now being taken to prevent this where possible. It is acknowledged that there is naturally a certain level of disagreement as part of the game we love but we must remain mindful of the fact that league officials give up their time to help the league which enables us to play the game. Only registered bench officials, team captain or assistant captain will be eligible to query decisions with league officials before, during and after game play. At least one (1) captain and one (1) assistant captain must be listed on the team sheet without exception. Official queries and complaints should be directed to the General Secretary to be responded to by following the proper channel. Continued abuse will result in a formal disciplinary review by the appropriate Executive Committee. It is your duty as Team Manager to inform your players and all other affiliated members of this enforcement as the league will take appropriate action without prior notice. Please remember that without referees and timekeepers there will simply be no games!10) The decision of the BRHA National and/or Region Executive Committee is final.
